Hi Guys

2012 RS3 - Just out of interest has anyone done a switch on the Fuse 19 that disengages the Haldex (4wd), im looking at ways to do this as it would be fun for rolling runs etc....

Also looking at the downsides of doing this.
potential damages etc.

if anyone can share their experiences or knowlegde on the matter?

I was under the impression any long disabling of the Haldex was bad for the unit itself, as the prop is still turning and it creates ‘drag’ forces in the rear diff/coupling.

I've been in a 8P with the usual faulty Haldex pump & running just front wheel drive is no fun.... traction light just keeps coming on ! 😳

The front and rear part of the haldex clutch plates always rotate at the same speed irrespective if the haldex is
engaged or not.If you pull the fuse out and gun it to get front wheelspin then the front and rear clutch plates then
rotate at different speeds.Do that too many times and it will cook the plates ending up with the need for a new haldex

If you hold the ESP button for more than 3 sec it turns off the traction control.

Hmmm, in full manual, sports mode and traction control off.

The only way to drive 😊👍
