Yea will have a look is it better to buy a new unit (I don’t want race ones as daily driver) or get bushes pressed into it ??

Gutted I drove 4 hours all in all and had a day off and haven’t mapped car lol 😂 doubt I’ll get another day till after Christmas

Is it worth buying a tune box ?? I could probs get hold of one and fit it today!

Don't rush into a tune! I have seen to many good people get burnt, only a handful of us out there that can actually offer a good mapping service.

What made the guy think your cooler is leaking?

Oil build up around the bottom of the Intercooler
I mean I don’t think it’s leaking boosts fine but he was an Audi master tech before
Doesn’t feel like boost is leaking to me but I’m no expert

It was for an Apr map and he didn’t want to put his rep on the line if it blew my car up down the road (which is fair enough) but I feel I wasted a day really driving and not working etc
I don’t get much time off so don’t know when I can go again.

Well if he was a master tech then his diagnosis is bound to be wrong.

They don't seem to do a insert for the dogbone...well not the one that goes on the gearbox.

Oil build up? Where at the ends of the hoses or centre core?
He should of investigated the oil rather worrying about a possible air leak.. oil in cooler means heavy breathing or the turbo is tired.

He said it wasn’t loads of oil so didn’t think there was a major problem
Looked to me it was the corner where the hose attached but we only looked through grill with torches etc
There wasn’t any major codes or negative data as far as I’m aware when we went on road test for logging data

Logs can show a leak. Also you will have a code if you had a boost leak.
Also due to these engines being a heavy breather a bit of oil in the charge system can be normal especially if it's never been cleaned out.
I would suggest a proper health check on your car to confirm what is going on.

To be fair that’s how I came up with all this he did a health check with vagcom looked for codes then we went on road logging etc,
Btw Ben I sent you a private message earlier.
Thanks for all the help guys I will get this car 100% soon getting there slowly.
