Anyone ever tested the EA888 intercooler on the RS3?? Reason I ask is they are massive with huge front area and very well priced??

I think I will end up sticking an RS500 intercooler on mine and do some testing. I fitted one to my 535d about 15 years ago with great results. Massive cooler for little money

Why would you want to put an intercooler not designed specifically for the DAZA engine on ?

What’s wrong with a Forge or Wagner ?

2 things. money and I like to try different things. I hate following the crowd, just becuase.

The RS500 intercoooer is way bigger than anything offered. I reckon with a some mods it wont be that difficlult to make it fit. interested to see how it does.

Nothing wrong with them but i just dont see them a value for money. At the end of the day its a intercooler core and some pipework. Never worth what these companies are asking. Airtec use good proven cores I have no probelm spending my time (free) making it fit.

All part of the fun for me.

Not sure how to repond to that :D

I am that old but not that fat :P

Yeah i miss the old days. I had 5 cossies, only just wish i kept even one of them, worth a fortune. I bet thet XR4 (hybrid?) would have gone down well in the uk.

I am still in 2 minds re the RS3. I bought the wife a car so makes no difference what I drive, fancy something old and stupid

Had an RS500 ic fitted to my impreza, worked well and made for a very neat package, in comparison to the other stuff on the market that requires cutting of the bumper and much long pipework

If the RS500 IC is that big you will definitely need to do some hacking about with the bumper iron.

Every aftermarket IC has a modified bumper iron to get a bigger IC behind the RS3 bumper.

Dell.

On the RS3 I agree hence I have a forge item on the way, in the Japanese scene there is way too much crap and trying to run over 550bhp requires some custom work

Even though I have a forge one on the way, reading this thread I was hoping to see if you made something different fit and if it was better. Years ago on a supercharged 406 Coupe we had to source one and found a company who supplied any size core you want and end tank combos to suit.
