Bit of a strange one this, just wondering if anyone has experienced the same.......

So it only occurs at speeds over 60mph, and it feels like I’m taking my foot off the throttle slightly even though I haven’t changed position, and it doesn’t seem anywhere near as responsive as usual. Then if I press and release the throttle I get interference through the speakers, like a pop. If I turn the stereo off and do the same I can also hear something inside the cabin making a strange noise, as if something is starting up like the climate control or that noise you hear when an interior light dims to off.

Sorry the description is a bit vague but I t’s hard to describe!

I’ve scanned for codes and there’s nothing, I can only presume there is some sort of grounding issue?

Any thoughts?

Hi

Have you had anything done on the car recently? Hardware and software?

Nah nothing really, put some secondary decat pipes on but that’s it. It was doing it before I did put those on though.

The only other thing was I upgraded the head unit and it has quite a big adapter harness for the steering wheel controls, but it still does it with this out of the system too

If it was a wiring issue you would be getting fault codes.
Also I have never known a interior wiring issue cause engine performance problems.

Sounds like to me your boost is cutting or throttle body is closing for some reason.
