the thing is, the car IS fast but it doesnt feel like it, because the throttle is not sharp or aggressive enough.

so the cheapest and easiest solution to make the car way more responsive and aggressive without even remapping it, is getting a pedal box.

i personally think it gives the right personality to the car, and it may be a more important mod than a remap (its even better in conjunction with a remap).

i cant use mine with the pedal box off, it feels like it takes ages to respond.

also, when i heard/read about these pedal boxes i thought they were a scam or not even worth, but i plugged my friend's on my car and i was completely shocked, so i immediately bought one.

on my previous car i had the one from 'tuningbox' https://www.tuningbo.../tune-pedal.htm

and right now i'm using the one from 'DTE' https://www.pedalbox.com/en/shop (it was the first thing i bought when i bought my RS3)

both brands have different settings to make the car from easier on the gas, to more aggressive.

A smooth throttle is faster than an aggressive one as you have more control over what happens when you apply it.

Go & do a track day with a racing instructor & one thing he/she will tell you smooth is fast & that includes braking.

As Ben said you may have a DV issue & not boosting properly & before you look at getting a pedal box or whatever you need to make sure your RS is running correctly mate.

Thanks for all the replies guys,
I think I will get it looked at for a health check just to be safe then maybe consider picking up a pedal box (I’ve read about these) and see about remap etc but so far I’m loving the car !!

I travel to Kidderminster often to see my family maybe I could pop in to Tamworth and see Ben.

i meant about the feeling of the car being more 'aggressive', if you read what i posted the car IS fast, but some people coming from manual cars dont feel the pull or lacks something, and the pedal gives that 'responsiveness' that may be missing.

Your always get that feeling with the smooth/fast change of the dsg gearbox.

Learn to love it for what it is & not what you what it to be.

Sounds normal, my 8p (with an apr stage 2 remap) was exactly the same, i was used to a N/a v6 R32. These turbo 5 pots are a different beast.

Sold mine but I had a pedalbox on it when i had it - transformed it.
