Does anyone know the wiring ie ground / signal out / 5v power in on a G28 crank sensor. I`ve found from Elsawin power in is pin 1 but get conflicting answers on pin 2 and 3.

Sean

That`s what I found .It tells you which is ground but not the other two.

It`s for a Motec ecu I`m fitting on a UR Quattro engine. I need to check the output of the CPS before it`s connected up.

Neil.

We know black/grey pin No 1 is ground so why can't you put a meter set on Ohms across pin No1 & No2 then No3 to see which is the signal & which is the positive ?
The only problem is G28 needs to see rotation to switch. 🤔

I`ve done that. I get 1K across 1 and 2 . I get 5m across 1 and 3. But that doesn`t tell me which is
signal and B+
G28 will "fire" with just a metal object moved across it

Neil.

When you place a metal object across which set up do you see a change in the resistance state as the one where there is a change will be the signal & ground then the other will be the positive.
No1 is already knowen to be ground if you get my train of thought mate.

You`re a clever guy. Sorted. 1= B+, 2 signal , 3 ground. Thank you.

You wouldn’t get this sort of advice on the other forum

It’d result in a reply of “has it got carbon on it” or “your breaking forum rules by asking such a technical question”
