Ok peeps, I need some very basic knowledge of the best way to sort a connection/SIM card for Audi connect, as it’s a feature on my new 2 year old car (TT) ...

Not had the chance to wade through the limited Audi info, so thought best to ask real owners 😎
Looks like it’s an Audi only supply thing, not sure if I just have to subscribe or can I get my own SIM?

And if I do have to get one, how much data use does it suck off the tinternet while in daily use.

Anyone have experience of this feature your help would be very much appreciated

Cheers

  • LocationToo close to Roy.

OMR.

If its just data only you require purchase a M2 sim card which are cheap.

There used in tracker units & sent data across all networks.

T-800 knows where to get the best deal for them i believe.

Dell.

As far as I’m aware the TT requires you to buy a sim as it doesn’t come with an embedded one like the RS models ?

There’s a slot in the MMI in the glove box

You can get either a prepaid one like off Amazon or a pay as you go one from Giffgaff etc

Usage is dependant on what you do with it but I’d guess at 200-500mb per month maybe.

Add the car into your MyAudi account online then it’ll give you a long number (8 or 9 digits Iirc) to input into the car.

I went on compare the meerkat searched for sim only deals and took one with id Mobile at 3.99/ month I only really use it for the live traffic data and occasionally I get it to read the weather to me , it’s never let me down and has better service than the Vodafone phone I have.

Hi,

Always view the forums and not really posted much...

I use the three data reward sim. 200mbs per month free and free to get the sim. It's enough for me for traffic updates and sending addresses to the car.

Hope it helps
