They have been around for some years & were used in some trick motorcycle engines 😁

Would you have these fitted if you are going from stage 2 to 3?

Dan.

Some DAZA engines have bent rods on stage 1.

Upgrade rods & pistons are a wise move on stage 3 but it will depend on power your running.

8P/PFL seem to run 500/550 without upgrading the pistons/rods mate.

Dell.

MRC have started recommending fitting built internals (rods, pistons, bearings) for tunes on the FL car that exceed 600ps and 750nm. My FL car ran 767nm as a peak figure when being mapped to higher octane fuel but I recently had the torque curve flattened to just under 750nm which has actually made the car nicer to drive with a more linear pull to the red line.

now driving a 'Daytona Lite' FL car.

You have no worries Tx - a search on the BMW parts database for the rods reveals this -

I assume they mean that you need to take a long holiday if the need for the part arises - inspiring!
