Hi all,

Looking to join the gang, currently have an S3 8p DSG so this would be the natural upgrade. I also had a golf r mk7 prior to the S3!

Has anyone recently traded theirs in at Audi Edinburgh?

I have a viewing booked.

I will be taking my paint gauge with me. I have naturally read around is there anything to be looking out for besides panel gaps, squeaky brakes etc??

this works but doesn't stop them breaking in!! more worried about family etc. it was part of the reason i downgraded to the s3 8p but miss the performance!

you don't really hear about RS3 8p's getting stolen more s3 8v, golf r, fords etc..

I had ghost, disklok and a faraday bag (keyless) when i had my golf hah!

these days their also pulling cars onto a trailers.

I know these cars are prone to breaking i.e. prop-shafts and have other niggles which is why i was looking to purchase from a dealer.

The propshaft breakage is normally down to the bolts failing which is a cheap fix £90 for the ARP bolts + 1hr labour.

I'm biased but the bucket seats make the RS a bit more special unlike the run of the mill standard seats & very comfortable to boot.

Remember the DSG is locked in Park so a tow away is pretty hard without fully lifting it mate.
