Wondered if anyone had used shorter or adjustable front drop links once they’d lowered their RS?
Thought it would maybe reduce or eliminate the pre load on the anti roll bar now that I’m lowered 20mm.

I’ve bought whiteline adjustable front and rears this weekend to see if they make any difference on my car. The standard front ones have started to knock now anyway. Not sure if the extra pre load is what makes the car quite bouncy on certain bumps on the roads I drive.

Fitted mine tonight, feels like the car turns in better now. Also doesn’t seem as bouncy over the bumps. The stock fronts are flimsy as hell. Could twist them with my hands.

Having driven the car a lot more today. I would go as far as to say it’s helped as much as fitting the 034 rear ARB to my 8p. Turn in is definitely better. The rear rotates and the front doesn’t push like it did when I was lowered on standard drop links. Can’t wait to get a 034 rear ARB now!

Interesting.

Not bad for the price. Hopefully the 034 ARB will compliment what the drop links have done. The rear does feel a little bit softer in corners now. Only one way to find out I suppose.

Stance only recommend using their links on coilover cars with big drops.

He told me the links would be under too much tension on a standard / mildly lowered car.

Have you matched the OEM drop link length ?

I've just been told by them there is no benefit to shortening them on a lowered car.......

I shortened them, then when I sat and thought about it, the body/chassis/ARB is surely sitting lower/further from the mounting point on the McPherson strut. So then thought leaving them the stock length or shorter will still apply the same pre load if not more then before. I could be very wrong though, won’t be the first time and wouldn’t be the last.
