I know that there's a shed load of intercooler topics at the moment, but just hope I can add one more as I can't quite find the answer to my query. So my car is going to be off for a stage 1 map in a couple of weeks, and I want to upgrade the intercooler. I've already changed the secondary cats. I'm unsure about which IC to buy, I know I can get the forge version, or there are two Wagners (Evo1+2). If I plan to stop after stage 1, would the Evo 1 suffice, or is it really worth the extra ££££ to go for the Forge or Evo 2?

   Thanks in advance  :)

If I were going this route, Forge would be my choice as they have at least tried to give some data regarding the performance benefit of their IC whereas Wagner when asked didn't have any to share but still want you to shell out up to £1k because they say it improves performance. I'll have bottled air with that whilst I am ordering then.

A must IMO gains are there to be had/seen, IC would give a very strong stage 1 package.

I am also away working in the Middle East, mine is wrapped up in dry storage again for the next 5 weeks otherwise I would definitely of came to see you, I got my full Miltek from revolution they price matched it for me and I got it for about £1850 saved me about £300

I have yet to see another RS3 on the road or anywhere so it would of been good to catch up.

I was gutted I missed the lakes run out but my old bag of a mother in law dropped us in it at the very last minute for a baby sitter I was foaming I had already paid for the hotel in the lakes and lost my deposit

Chris, Graham we will have to try to meet up with us being around about the same area some time

Graham I Got my car detailed from DDB when I was home he made an excellent job of it in fact excellent doesn't come close, I did not think it was possible to get it to shine so much, the paint work was better than when I bought it and he sorted out the 2 small stone chip on the bonnet I was very happy and it was worth not having the car for 2 days + I got a set of MMPS on it when I was home it's made a massive difference to it..

Chris, Graham when are you next home....?

I would be interested in the detailers info :) been looking for someone relatively local to look after the car, my mate used to run his own business out of middlesbrough but he has now ventured south :(

I'll be back in the country on the 30th may but won't have any spare time until atleast the 17th June. Need to spend time with the family, then I'm off abroad again this time for pleasure and not work :)

Heading to LeMans on the 12th June for 4/5 days :)

I'd be up for meeting up after that for a chat and bite to eat :)

@ Mr Audi, I'll find out for definate but it's midlands ish, I know he ain't that far from Birmingham. Not really south I know but it's south from me lol :)

@ Fletch, cheers fella I'll have to give him a ring once I'm back as the car is in need of a good going over, although I may opt for a mild detail because my car will be stickered up for the trip across the water :)
