I've run various spigots on various wheels on various cars and never had an issue. If you use the wrong bolt seat you'll get vibration, or even wobble and some serious rotor-on-road issues in extreme cases. I've also run wheels with non-hubcentric spacers (also quite wobbly as they don't balance) and even had a pair of rear wheels on my track mini with no spigots that were... probably not safe, but only had to get the car ~4 miles. They felt fine, but I definitely didn't push the car and I felt pretty nervous the entire journey.
