Hi all 😊

I need to replace my N80 valve due to a reoccurring EVAP error. I’ve already replaced the charcoal canister as the old one was shot with lots of loose carbon everywhere 😫

My question is: Does anyone know if the N80 (and N75) solenoids can be accessed by removing the Plenum and throttle valve as a single assembly as it looks like the solenoids are attached to the inlet manifold?

Many thanks.

The N80 certainly can yes, it can be done in situ also but you have to know what your looking for. If you remove the 4x top mani bolts, and loosen jubilee below elbow it’ll pivot over. The N80 is only held on by a retaining tab which is connected to the mani and the slit on the N80 merely slides into it to hold. It’s not fixed/bolted.

The N75 I believe is the boost valve, access via underneath the car and it looks like a pain in the a*se to replace. I have a brand new one available if you need one.

Thanks Jay that brilliant, exactly what i needed to see. However i've now realised i've bought an EGR valve, 037906283C, which sits behind the N80 Breather Valve, Fuel tank, 06H906517B. ****  :89:

Guess i'll be going shopping again

Just a couple of questions Jay if that's okay: Can you re-use the clip on the left-hand hose on the N80 or does it need replacing?

And also I take it you have to replace the gasket between the Plenum and the manifold? Item 4 in the diagram.

To be honest mate i think from memory it’s the same sort of oem clip they use on the fuel lines so it may need to cutting off and perhaps use a small jubilee or source a new clip of you have the tool.

Gasket should be fine to be honest, I wouldn’t bother replacing as long you clean both surfaces before putting back together it should be fine. Think top manifold gasket is £40 - £50 from TPS
