POWERFLEX now do an engine mount insert for the RS3 - 8P

 

Guess what i just ordered  :D  :D  :D


Audi RS3 8P 2011: Phantom Black, Retrofit genuine Audi black grille. Mods: Milltek Decat pipes, Bilstein B16 Coilovers with 034 Motorsport top mounts. Superpro front control arms, Powerflex Gearbox & Dogbone mount inserts, 034 Motorsport Rear ARB, 034 Motorsport Front & Rear Drop Links. Reyland 370mm front brake rotors.

Yeah i remember seeing a video somewhere so it looks like lots of bits to push out of the way to get it out. Probably going to get a new engine mount and fit the insert beforehand considering how f*cked the gearbox mount was.

 

Have you already had your engine mount off then Dell?  :)

Had this mount sat in my garage for months, bought it with some other mounts, then someone said they didn't fit even though advertised for the 8P, so never tried fitting it, be interesting to see if it does fit.

Been looking at doing my drivers side mount but I’ve been put off in case there’s a massive increase in vibrations. Dogbone and gearbox have inserts already and I’ve not noticed an increase up to now. I’ll wait until someone’s been the guinea pig and can report back 😂

does anyone know how to remove the engine mount? how do you access the side bolts? they seem quite hidden/hard to get

theres a YouTube video showing you how to remove it on the 8P.
