mmm! I think you need to revisit the theory of kinetic energy :)

An A3 propelled by 200hp to 50 has the same KE as an A3 propelled by 400hp to 50. It does not matter if one A3 hits 50 sooner or later, the braking requirement is exactly the same.

Only will the A3 with the 400hp motor need increased braking is at the point where the maximum KE is reached by the 200hp version.

I suggest that you revise your argument a bit for the future and concentrate more on the KE overlap and the need to use the brakes more often that potentially invites fade which can be overcome with larger brakes and/or specialist pads.

I suggest you need to lose the condescending tone pal, nobody like who a know it all, so don’t be daft enough to make assumptions about my driving style.

I also didn’t say it takes more to stop a higher performance car from the same speed as a lower performance car so please don’t twist what I said to try and suit your argument.
I’ve had plenty of performance cars capable of faster speeds than this Audi and all of them bar my Impreza were more than capable of stopping absolutely *fine* on standard discs and pads.

The RS3 isn’t, and red stuff are a grade below a pad I found lacking so don’t get upset if I reject your recommendation.

From your own post you changed to red stuff to stop squeal - I want to stop squeal AND have a decent set of pads that can stop me faster than the OEM rubbish, and doesn’t overheat, so what works for you doesn’t necessarily work for others who want to use the performance a bit more.
You and I are done so if you have nothing outside of redstuff useful to put down in terms of recommendation then please ...don’t!

RFT didn't stock any when I enquired a few months back. I ended up getting mine through CLP Automotive but they are also available through other companies such as AwesomeGti. These pads are not cheap so expect to pay around £300 for a set.

The DS2500 seem to really suit the Reyland discs, not sure what they would be like with the stock rotors though.

Unfortunately they do not have the brake wear connectors. I would recommend that you cut off the OEM connector from the stock Audi pads leaving around 20mm of wire. Strip the exposed ends, twist them together (I soldered mine too) and then seal the joint with some heat shrink sleeving. Plug the connector back into the car. It's easy to check for pad wear as they can easily be seen through the calipers.

Yep they look good, nice prices too. Same suppliers I used. Don't forget that you will need two boxes of the pads (4 pads per caliper).

I’m a bit slow tonight... that would be £272 for the correct quantity of pads???

Yep looks like it if I am reading the deal correctly. It's one box set per caliper (4 pads per box). That's a pretty good price for DS2500's.

Five pot clp price matched the eBay offer dealt with a bloke called Simon who was fantastic. Many thanks for the advice very much appreciated, pads arriving tomorrow!
