I have seen what’s listed as a sports exhaust for sale on eBay. The thing is it doesn’t seem to have the small interconnecting pipe. The part number is 8V0 253 611B. When I have done a google search it doesn’t really give much info as to whether this is the real deal.
Mark if your after a sports exhaust let me know. There are 2 main visual signs if it’s a sport exhaust or not. 1 - the interconnecting pipe as you said and also also shorter bullet silencers.

I have the p/n as: 8V0 253 181F, but this is pfl. Might be different for fl though.

Mine is PFL and so is this exhaust I am looking at. It has the smaller resonators as well but can’t make out if it’s got an interconnecting pipe.

Part number is stamped in the centre of the back box, I’ve been told there are dots stamped into the back box also to differentiate the two types.
I guess like these ones that look like a QR code.

Go see pcw exhausts. See if its anything they can do and save you ££
Bit of a drive for me unfortunately. have a place local that does custom exhausts. I’ll maybe speak to them and see what they can do in regards to modifying the stock one. The one on eBay is £400 and Jay has got a lead on one for not much more.
