Spoke to the Tech who is a friend, he told me that the R8 and the TT are going to be discontinued

 

they are going to be replaced by ELECTRIC cars, and one model each year after will go the same way !!!

When I bought the 3 I thought it was going to be a keeper for exactly this reason - this is the end of an era. Mind you, I thought the same when I bought the M3 back in 2010 as well...

I was doing a browse of the Audi configurator the other day as I was bored, all the RS's and R8's were not available to be spec'd

Yup I concur.....

TT is going 1st, so I was informed by Bridgend Audi.......
R8 to follow, that’s a low volume as it gets for Audi,

R8, TT, then RS models must be the lowest total numbers of their production so bean counters would be saying ‘No more
‘ of these designer gents.....we need to make more money by making our niche cars electric........
And the stupid tree hugging politicians of course, making rules they probably should have done 10years ago but they were making too much cash out of us .....

It’s a shame I know, but progress I guess.

So gona do my best to hang on to my 8V for as long as I can.....keep the noise and the smiles

I can see the day coming when we are going to have to 'mail order' our petrol.

 

We will have to get a milk float for a daily and keep the RS to irritate the population at select times.
