You need to check to see what mount is fitted to your car.

But if there are two types, then does this apply to Powerflex as well?
I'll lift the car up tomorrow and have a look.

Mmmmm descisions descisions I’m not the best lol 😂
I think I’m gonna try the powerflex as it fills the any void and I’m thinking this will reduce freeplay under loads ??
Just the colour now hehe

Me? No, not yet. I have a problem getting a part for my little Skoda, so it is taking up space on the lift until I can get it. Hopefully by Wednesday it will be ok and I should have something on Thursday.

And to confuse things a little more.......here's the ECS version with plastic insert to fill the OEM voids.

What does the dogbone mount do?
Bob.
Its a dog bone looking bar which connect the engine/gearbox to the rear crossmember on the underside of the car.
On the cross member its connected to a rubber mount which can give a lot off excess back/forward movement mate.
Dell.

Thanks for explaining!
I'm new to the RS3 world, but I've seen lots of people mentioning the dogbone mount.
I've only had the car for about a month so maybe I haven't noticed the need for it yet?

I’ve been in and around modified Audi’s since 2002, even back then dog bone mounts were being swapped for aftermarket items on everything from Golf’s S3’s , TT’s and everything inbetween and probably before that too.

Brilliant little mod, together they have removed of the slop. Maybe a little extra vibrations, only really noticeable at low speed, gear 1 maybe 2.

Has anyone tried fitting the upper and lower 034 inserts? Was away to buy one of the other brands until I seen this picture (would maybe explain why the lower deforms when fitted on its own) so bought both to give them a try. Also seen people raving about the rear subframe inserts, has anyone fitted them? If so do they make as much difference as people make out on YouTube?
034 Upper inset with APR stainless lower.
