Thinking of changing the DMF and maybe the clutch pack.

Any suggestions or DIY out there?

I do all the mechanical stuff on my car by myself but never tried this and it looks easy on Youtube

T-800 did his TT 3.2 on his drive 😬 you will need to support the engine while you remove the gearbox which will also need supporting as it f-ing heavy. 😟

Forgot to tell that i have access to a professional garage with all the stuff you need to work on a car

Do you have to remove the gearbox to change the dmf?

Sorry but if you need to ask that question you need to get someone whos done it before to help you out mate.

The DM is bolted to the end of the crankshaft & the clutch pack is fitted on the gear box input shaft & is all inside the gearbox bell

Indeed Dell

What a job

Did it in the unit with car jacked up.

2 man job as subframe needed unbolting and the DSG gearbox is damn heavy.

Sooo much ancillary stuff to unbolt first.

Took me a good 2 days.

Rewarding nether the less.

I imagine the RS3 is pretty much identical in procedure.

Stuff doing that !

I would not know where to start , and would get worried I could not put it back together again !

In the "OLD" days things were easy and you didnt have to worry about sensors and all the computer bits and bobs all over the place

The Daimler is easy to work on no vdcs thingy stuff or calibrations of wiper fluids etc

More power to you lads who get stuck in  :up_it:

ok, no shortcuts then.. I was kinda hoping someone found out a smart way to replace it without removing gearbox

Then i definitely will replace the clutch at the same time since i had slipper at 750 nm on the rollers..

Thanks!
