Has anyone got any tips how to clean the inside of a windscreen !

 

I have tried almost everything and still get smudges/wipe marks/smears etcetc

 

Just hate doing it!

Oooo I know what you mean Roy, hate a smudge.

Few tips I have learnt both from YouTube and practice...
I use Autoglym fastglass, it’s not a polish, and no doubt someone will have an opinion but I have used it lots and I like it best.

Apply cleaning solution of preference To the microfibre cloth NOT the windscreen
I make sure it’s pretty wet with it, then in steady and slow wipes top to bottom, moving each pass with a sligh over lap
Do half at a time, sitting in each side
Ram the wet with cleaner towel right into to tight bits ....(oooo errr!)
Then with a super clean and dry towel buff it up, like polishing your bonnet, half at a time, getting in to all the corners and make sure you constantly fold the towel during this stage, even use two.

It’s hard work, and I have sometimes stood outside and polished where you can as you can see the dastardly smudges and bits you have missed.

I am a bit OCD when it comes to my windscreen spend ages inside and out, only to find that one little mark you missed at dusk when headlights coming the other way reveal everything.......so keep a clean cloth handy for such occasions

Stop using your old chip wrappers mate.

I just use any glass interior spray and it’s alcohol contents tents to leave it streak free.

I'm the same as Jay here, use normal glass cleaner and usually smear free.

I also have a Chamois covered sponge which works a treat. Been using these things since about 1995!

Little off topic.

Anyone every used the rain X? Just tried it, seems great at improving viability in the rain. They also do a screen wash additive to top up between washes (yet to add this).

I use rain X as often as I can, its great for all the windows, stops that annoying streak when its raining that goes along your drivers window blocking wing mirror visibility.....

 

Keeps all the side windows clean too .

Coated my windows with gtechniq g1, lasts well over a year and you hardly need the wipers on.
