How many of you ticked the box or perhaps had Autoglym Lifeshine applied as part of the deal?

So far 6 months on ive found the Lifeshine external maintenance an absolute doddle.

Routine;

Wash car as per what ever your normal routine is.

Rinse car

Spray with Aqua wax

Dry car

Buff with the Autoglym polishing cloth

Brings the car back upto showroom shine everytime.

I have been warned that Super resin polish (SRP) can however remove the Lifeshine coating however its advised to be used as and when the appearance starts to fall.

I'm also at the point where i'm looking to pay for the maintenance application via an approved detailer or should i just get it detailed elsewhere?

Looks shiney but you've missed a bit   :5:

Well it looks like my dealer is going to re-apply the Lifeshine as part of the process to get it back to the standard it was when i dropped it off to be fixed....... :m0165:

In a few months if/when it wears off i'll be taking a trip to Jay@Miglior to have it booked in for full correction.

How do you keep yours gleaming since the detail?

Do you polish it at all or just book back in every so often?

I wash it with Dodo Juice Born to be Mild after a clean with snow foam. Then if I have time I give it a wax with Dodo Juice Supernatural.

Jay gave the car several coats of Swissvax Crystal Rock so that gave the car a great start. I have also given a quick wax with Smartwax too and also Dodo Juice Red Mist.

Like the Dodo Juice stuff as its so easy to use and always gives good results. B)

I've just bought some of this to try as well...

Dodo Juice Supernatural Carnauba Glaze Detailer

Always use to use Autoglym, but the chalky residue is a pain.

I stopped using Autoglym years ago when i got into car shows, Then it was all about trying many different waxes.

Been down the Dodo route, Meguiars etc however ended up being a Zaino fan.  The depth of shine from Z8 is immense when the cars prept correctly.

Since having the RS3 i decided to give the Autoglym (Aquawax) go as the products all came with the car,  So far the depth/wetness of shine i'm very impressed with and almost rivals the Zaino.   I've got some HD wax on the way to see if it compliments the other Autoglym stuff.

I'd really like to try Swissvax so may give that a whirl once the Lifeshines worn off...... I'll speak to Jay about what applications he does.

The detailing job on Moschops car is awesome, certainly something I will do when I buy another brand new car and then wrap the front to keep it stone chip free!

I've only had Lifeshine on one car, a black Civic Type R that was delivered a month late so the dealer put Lifeshine on as part of the sorry package.  It seemed ok as you say for about 6 months, makes car cleaning easy.

I agree about the residue with super resin polish but I've been impressed with AG High Definition Cleanser and Wax, I like car cleaning/polishing and it's doing a great job on both our cars.  I've tried the more expensive stuff and I can't tell the difference so I'll stick with this mid price product.  With HD Wax there is a real depth to the shine, great beading effect and the full protection lasts for about 3 months in winter and makes all the road muck easy to clean off.  It's not until you take the cars out among others that you realise just how good they look, the mrs Type R was parked next to a Boxster yesterday and the Boxster paintwork looked decidedly dull!

I'd heard mixed things about HD,  good and average reports.

I thought i must try it as it goes hand in hand with Lifeshine.

I've sent an email to a Ventureshield dealer today for a price on the film for the bumper

So long as Autoglym High Definition Wax allows me to produce these results on both cars I'm sticking with it. At this price point I've yet to encounter a better product.

This depth of shine on a silver car is a great result:

In winter realistically 3 months between applications, in summer slightly longer.  I tend to keep touching up any tar spot or other baked on grime in between.  Works well with quick detailer to restore the shine.

I'm not claiming it's the best out there just that it's good enough for me in the time I've got.  I haven't tried the Dodo Juice range so I might have a look at that at some point too.

Have you tried Autoglym Aquawax as an in between detailer?

I've no doubt you'd be impressed with it.

It makes the car shine up like you've spent a few hours waxing!

Well worth it for the washes between waxes, Plus its no harder than drying your car to use.

I'd be interested to know how it looked in comparison to HD.

If you want an alternative to AG Aquawax then Chemical Guys P40 is good and can be used as a QD cleaner spray as well or Duragloss Aquawax, cheaper than AG and better shine.

I'll have a look at those then,  Been testing lots of products of the wifes Sport as its the family work horse and gets the most abuse.

Anything like Aquawax that brings the car up with minimum effort gets a tick from me.

I like the Chemcial Guys stuff the best as it can be used as a surface dust QD but the last order I put in for a Gallon of the stuff took 4 weeks for them to deliver and their communication through that period of time was sh**e. Very poor customer service and may be a one off but I don't see why when they have my money I have to be chasing them for updates on where my stuff is which is why I am maybe thinking of going elsewhere.

Does it sit ok on the ventureshield or would you use something else like G-techniq then leave it.

Aquawaxes work as well on Ventureshield as they do on lacquer.
