hi all

i love cleaning my car and have ventured into machine polishing, ceramic coatings etc.

i am certainly missing some knowledge with the machine polishing as i have purchased some apparently highly rated pads and polish but no matter what the swirls stay (RS3 pfl) and things like birds poo still show even after serious polishing and firm pressure.

does anyone have experience of machine polishing (ideally on the RS3) and why oh why i am not getting it right?

any thoughts appreciated

In the end Oz I was glad to go back to a white Car

Less Hassle........

I may give it the same treatment but it looks great as is down to the Fusso treatment I applied shortly after buying it.

I’ve been using this after every wash

Have to say I’m impressed with it up to now.......

White is 100% best colour for keeping a car looking clean. Everyone thinks white will look the dirtiest but that’s not the case at all.

The problem with any black car is the dust settling on it after a day or so......

Then there's the rain showers we get, drive through one for half an an hour and when the car dries you get the dusty spray marks up the sides and rear........

I found Misano Red on my old 8P to be a great colour after a cleaning session.......but very tricky to photograph the results.....

Same with the Glacier white......looks very glossy in certain lights and you can even get flake pop......but very difficult to take a photograph of the results.

I've found the Atlantic blue G7.5R we had easy to photograph as the blue lends itself better and can look so different in various lighting.

The one & only regret I have with the RS 7 - Panther Black, looks fantastic when its clean, especially in the Sun, but that is short lived! - Dust & Rain Aaaggghhh!!!
