Had a little dust up with a gtr today on the way to Silverstone. It was all over me surprise surprise so I let it past only to see a 1000 badge on the back so presumably tuned to 1000hp! Thumbs up so all in good spirits.

You should have made a video of the occasion TX.......

Then you can post on Instagram and say how you ‘shut down’ Silverstone........
Don’t forget the obligatory donut / turnip car park footage showing everyone how it’s done.......

Roads up to silverstone must be pretty awesome in a GTR and an RS for that matter. I used to live around there. The sped differential when you go up against a GTR is pretty scary makes you feel like you've popped a boost pipe.

Still GTR is lard ass i often find them coming at me on the wrong side of the road over here in the mountains no amount rubber can keep that Japanese ghetto booty in line.

Skip to 5 mins it gets pretty fruity. Camera car is a GTR, runs wide a lot.

I bet the service costs are mental, even if the owner does it themselves. It's what put me off a stock GTR in the first place. It's a bloody brilliant car, but expensive to maintain!

In addition to the above, its that interior that also put me off! Its only on the latter models that they've attempted to improve it a bit.
Problem is I've / We've been spoiled by the quality of Audi interiors.   ;)

But agree, it is a fantastic piece of automotive engineering.   B)

.......and fuel. Some one came down to buy one of my previous cars - his mate brought him down in his 700 horse GTR - the fuel basically worked out at a pound per mile!

A couple of years back I had a GTR, owned it for 3 years and it was epic... nothing power wise like the one you seen haha mine was stage 1 just shy of 600 at the time, but was still an awesome machine!

I got rid of my RS3 in September and ended up with a 2011 GTR when I moved to Thailand as a weekend car.

Technology and comfort wise the RS3 wins hands down, partly because it’s designed as a usable daily car and partly due to it being newer. The GTR is so outdated unless you get the latest one. But for sheer grip and power it’s so much better than the RS3. No understeer and bags of torque like my last Golf R32 when pulling away. I’m running Cobb stage 1 with an Akrapovic exhaust but we only get 95 pump fuel here so the gains aren’t as impressive as running on 98/99 as per the UK. Although you can get supercar parking in Thailand shopping centres for the GTR but not the RS3 lol
