Hello guys

I have some problem for investigation.

I was on a trackday last weekend. i made one lap, not so hard, but i had some serious braking.

The car had very strange/hard vibration on the end of fast lap. I feelt on all body and steering wheel too, but nothing on brake pedal. Its was only, when i braking. I had a cooldown lap, than i left the track.

I went home a hour later, there was no vibration on the way home.

I think, if i bend the disc, the vibration not leave after cooling down.

Same thing happened on the highway today, on the way home.

Ps.: I allways had a little vibration on highway around 130km/h.

I have brand new oem brake discs and ferrodo ds performance pads.

How can the disc bending leave after cooling?

How come i dont feel anything on the brake pedal.

The vibration sounds like i loose a wheel from my car, Not small vibration. Its scarry.

Your discs an't warped its something to do with the way the disc has got over heated & changed its molecular construction.

Mine did exactly the same after a 20min track session at Castle Combe,i would get a severe vibration & a whirring noise when using the brakes hard or at speed on the road but no pedal pulsing when using hard or normally.

Changing the pads made no difference at all so i changed both the disc & pads.

Now all ok till my next Castle Combe outing.

I've also removed the splash guards to help promote/aid more air flow to the back of the discs.

Get two piece disks and better pads that can take the heat generated by these fast but over weight heifers.

Stay the f*ck away from Compbrake at all costs, they're still offering the TTRS kit for the RS3!

Dell, have you put any major heat through the Reylands yet?   The reason i ask is that i put Godspeed rotors on the Cupra and they needed skimmed as they were a mile out after bedding in the pads.  Godspeed,Reyland and Compbrake are cheap (i was told they are chinese made) and the casting isn't great but once they have been skimmed they're fine.
