Think you might be amused

Had an email this morning from Audi Uk advising me -

"It’s here. Your new Audi RS3 has arrived at Bexley Audi and the team will be in touch very soon to arrange delivery."

The bottom of the email had the slogan 'Keep up to date with Audi'

The only descrepancy is that I collected the above new RS3 from Bexley Audi last Friday! I wonder if there is another RS3 for me to collect?

It took Audi Ag 13 days to build the car and transport it overground across Germany and ship it to Sheerness, a distance of some 1,650 km. It then sat for some 17 days at Sheerness, a distance of 50 km from London. That seems to say something about the difference between Audi Ag and Audi UK.

My dealer had advised that he was expecting delivery the following week after it landed at Sheerness. Well after getting pissed off with the extended wait & not getting any updates or reassurances from dealer I sent email threatning to cancel the order. The following morning I was told the car had just arrived and though it would normally take 3 days to check & prepare the car, the dealer would hurry this along and the car would be ready for me to collect the next day.

This is the 3rd RS3 I have purchased and the experience with Audi dealers has got progressively worse, it's as if they are determined to improve at how bad they can be. Thank God this bit is over so that I can now go and enjoy the car once the detailer has finished.

I told the dealer not to wash & clean the car, so when I turned up to collect it was sitting in the car park with all other cars with customs stickers on, wax crayon figures on windscreen and still some cardboard packaging to interior & it was t"here you are drive it away". I had to ask if they could clean windscreen of the wax crayon marks as it was interferring with vision. Long are the days when picking up a new car was an unveilling and a bit of a fanfare with some goodies to sweeten the experience. Oh, and I was asked as I was driving away not to forget to give feedback on the service I had!

I guess your feedback will only require one digit?!

Could be a BOGOF.....they didn’t advertise that very well hehehe

I wonder if you may be legally entitled to another one

Thier IT department needs to fix the bugs, but just like the rest of the stealer network probably really don’t give a flying fig....

Perfect. That way you know they haven't trashed the paint - as far as service goes they have done exactly what you have asked so fair play. The other option is 'they didn't get the message and have prepared the car for you' - i.e. total disaster. One to look out for are those bits of wrap on the rear seat belts over the back seats - never got round to taking them off on the December RS and still haven't got round to removing them on the new one......

A job for the w/e perhaps?
