Is this... the Lancia 037

https://www.youtube....WivocTLlcc&t=0s

It was on the Grand Tour this season (best bit of it too)

Any Steve McQueen car comes a close second. Then again he made any car he stood against look cool, even a brown BL Mini.

What's everyone else's top car, no limits?

Great choice..... massive fan also, but for me would have to be the mighty Quattro S1 circa 85-86.
Having seen, heard and felt the force of this beast on the 86 RAC rally..... I know some of you probably weren't even born then!

But had a lasting and quite emotional attachment ever since, and the main reason I have my RS3.

Will probably think of a dozen more after I post this but 1st one that comes to mind is always this....
Some of the shots from the vid below are jaw dropping....especially the tarmac sections, and this was 1985! Pops bangs crackles and wastegate heaven.....
And the amount of fans ....health and safety? As if!
Madness and no wonder the group B thing got banned.

Reminds me of the supercarspotters in monoco....someone is going to get hurt.

  • LocationToo close to Roy.
OMR.

I'm with you on all counts with that one mate 👍

The S1 changed the face off rallying with its 4 wheel drive.

I know the person who owns that actual car. Audi wanted to buy it back off him .They have upped their offer to £1.1 million (not a typo). He`s resisted the temptation to sell so far. If you`re ever up north I`ll take you to see it. He might even take you round the block .Rather quickly.

Catalunya Red ,Heated rear window,Power steering,Wireless (with FM),Seat belts,Servo assisted brakes.Pneumatic tyres. Disc brakes.
