Gents....

Just a quick and general brake maintenance question......

I need to replace my front pads soon! (PFL 8V) and the disks are worn, but not to excess although have a 1mm 'Lip' .....and was interested to know......
Obvs...they must be the same overall size to fit the calliper but the actual surface of the pads v surface of disks where worn by OEM pads.... if you get my drift.

If I fit new Ferodo DS pads, does the surface of the pads Match the OEM pads?
Will they fit to a slightly worn set of discs with a small lip?

Was going to fit them myself, but didn't want to get into a scenario that means replacing the discs at the same time, they have a bit of life left in them..

Any issues with the above does anyone know?

Thanks in advance

The OEM Audi pads are Chamfered only

The DS pads are not and have the groove across them only.
