Just goes to show how easy the FL engine is to mod running 670whp on the standard engine without issues. Don’t think I will ever be driving my car on a dirt road like soon.😂

Holy cow, that is some speed.

Stu hit the nail on the head there, I love how tuneable these engines are. I think I would tune periodically, so after a few years once you become comfortable with the tuning you've had done, these brilliant 5 pots allow you to add more and more to make the experience even better.

8P for the win
Jason’s old 8P. I like the new owners name too.

Jay - Of course the 8P is always going to be a great car but 700hp is going to cost a lot more money than most have to spend with a complete engine build needed. Do I believe that an 8P or a FL 8V could do 210mph with 700hp - not a chance in hell and especially with the gearing and rpm levels. Even if they could do 210mph, I can't see it would take much for the gearbox to self destruct.

I have watched this video before and I can't understand how he has standard flywheels that he has to keep changing? I would like to see who does the rolling road tunes in the UK for 700hp and see the print outs. Not saying he is not being honest but most of the ones you see without print outs give figures like 500ps, 600ps, 700ps etc, and not 526ps, 612ps and 689ps if you get my logic.

I’ll post his graph. I have it

Edit: ignore that, I’ve deleted it.

Nevertheless just goes to show what can be achieved with these cars. No doubt 700bhp is for pub talk.

You can add my name to the list of doubters for the 210mph claim. The aerodynamics of the 8P are not exactly steathy in comparison of some supercars that just manage to creep into the magic 200mph club. Maybe the speedo reading is way off of calibration due to wheel/tyre size changes..........which brings me onto the speed rating of a tyre. A 'Y' rated tyre is good for speeds up to 186mph so even if the car could reach 210mph he would be way beyond the sensible limits of the rubber.

I have seen a few of the 'Living life fast' vlogs and I have to say that I cringe when the guy gets in these modified cars and the owners drive them at crazy speeds out on the public roads among other roads users who are just plodding along.

It would be better to find a quiet piece of road or maybe an airfield (like Archie Hamilton does) and strap a Vbox to the car to back up the bold claims.

now driving a 'Daytona Lite' FL car.

Doug at MRC RS4 B5 done 202mph at V-max some years ago & that had 750ps with played about gearing/stripped out.

MRC also did a wide body S4 B5 which run a 204mph.

Check out the vids on there website. :D

Dell.
