Hi guys, I picked my car up last Wednesday and the free 5 day Audi insurance runs out today.
I’m 39 and the wife is 37 we will be the only drivers and car is kept on driveway - what kind of money are you guys paying for insurance ?

£400 with LV.

11 years NCD, TN postcode,garaged at night and £500 excess I think and both have clean licenses.

Unfortunately I had to conver garage for farther in law to live in just driveway for me.

LV came up with pretty decent numbers on the comparison sites but Admiral (my current insurer) beat them all - in fact they were £17 cheaper for the new FL SB than my 2.5 year old 8V PFL... go figure!

didn't know Audi gave 5 days free. Is this,something all dealers offer? Mine will be arriving in a few weeks and I could use this to get her home

Yep - 5 days insurance free - your dealer should sort that out for you!

Insurance depends a great deal on age, employment,& post code. Huge lottery.

My RS is garaged but insured on the drive as it made little or no difference.🤔

Insurance Co know that the garages are usual full of kids bikes & fridges.🤣

I was paying £440 for my RS3 8V (when I still had it) with an SP50

My Mrs paying £384 for her RS3 8P

I think this year there has been a general increase in car insurance prices anyway & I think the cheeky bastard government added a bit more on the ''insurance tax'' we pay as well?.

A lot of companies who would quote me last time are just giving stupidly high prices this time.

Just for info, the letters of the post code is not enough detail to work out relative insurance costs. if you look here GU ranges from A to C classifications.

2018 RS3 saloon. 31 years old, 6 years NCB and £850 excess. 1 non fault claim for myself and 1 non fault claim for my wife. £1145 and change for the year. By far the most i have paid in the last 10 years and ive had gold r's, RS3 8p, b5 rs4 and so on. 

 

Had no choice but to pay as that was the cheapest i could get plus i was collecting the car the following morning. 

 

Some of the prices above were what i was expecting not north of £1100.
