Watched a review of the new A7 on tubefaceogram (I'll find the link...)

https://youtu.be/9m_lz8U3-vI

It's not a bad review, better than fekwit Smheeee or JWW tools, bit boring, but honest!
And was very impressed, mainly with the Rear Wheel Steering, not seen or heard of that on an Audi before, seen it on a few Japanese cars,... correct me if I am wrong, please!

And go to 8:40 to see the 4 wheel steer thing in the vid

So thinking ahead to the S and RS 7 will this be a feature on those models?

And...
Is the A7 related more, in terms of floor pan/chassis of an A6 or A8
Anyone know

Roy is a 7 expert maybe a S7 geek so hoping for some sort info 😎

OMR (liking the larger things in life)

Rear wheel steering is coming back... Porsche have started to use it, and the new Renault Megane RS has it too...

the Honda Accord / prelude 2.2 had rear wheel steering as did a couple of Nissans from what I can remember.
Although it’s been more widely used over the years than you’d think.

A lot of older Frenchies had passive rear wheel steering because of the torsion beam suspension they had back in the day too...

Unfortunately I prefer the current model as it’s lot more original than this new model. Car manufacturers need to be careful not to get too carried away by desperately changing a cars build or design drastically. In my opinion this is a little desperate and like the RS3 I prefer the original. Just my opinion before Roy chews my ear off. I like your car Mush!
Saving for an RS6😎

I watched Sophia Calate's and Matt Watson's reviews of  the A7 and the new A6 (under embargo until today), have to say Audi have managed to make an already generic design even more generic... new RS6 and RS7 will be interesting though if it carries over the rear wheel steering from the normal range. The interior of the A7 is cut and pasted into the A6, as expected I guess.

Some interesting changes in these cars, no need for keys, NFC on your phone acts as a key instead and 6 phones can be slaved to the car (I can see that being a security headache). Disco dancing lights, look quite cool but seems a tad pointless, same for the multicoloured interior ambient settings. No exhaust pipes either, as a focus group at Audi came to the conclusion people prefer the fake trims.... just odd.

Haptic feed back on the many touchscreens is a bit pointless, and having to look at the touchscreen doesn't seem very safe either. Though the voice command now seems far more complex and akin to the Google, Apple and Amazon standards, so you can talk to it and the car understands what you want the aircon/radio and satnav to do.

Did post the youtube links but at the moment the linking seems to be broken... ?

Although some of what has been done to the A7 is quite cool, what is a real shame here is the S & RS versions on the A6 & A7 platforms are losing there V8 engines  :(
