I had a black edition lowered a few years ago at awesome... My experience of doing this is mixed.

You don't get as low as you want for it to be perfect and rebound / bottoming out issues are a real compromise. I would budget 1k and either do a group buy or try and get a deal where fittings included on coilovers

If I do this I'll go coil-overs rather then just springs. Waiting for Ohlins to do a kit although Glenn's Bilstein kit is the business, I'm trying to find a kit that would give the dynamic flexibility of DRC on the B7 RS4 rather than pressing buttons for differing 'modes' if possible. i.e. a systems that works in all conditions without adjustment / faffing on.

Sorry for the late reply guys.

looking into this the only suitable option i have would be H&R springs.

The H&R springs lower the RS3 by 20mm

H&R springs supplied only £220.00 inc vat + shipping

H&R springs supplied and fitted £400.00 inc vat. This includes a 4 wheel alignment after the springs have been installed.

I hope that helps

H&R coilovers & ARB's are the way to go, totally transform the car.

As per the pic above I have the H&R springs but to be honest I can't really comment on how good they are as I've prob done a couple hundred miles since fitting them. I will say however I have no issues with speed bumps or full lock with regards rubbing.
