Hi Humans

I recently swapped out of my 997.2 into my 8p and have a few questions if anyone can help, I have to get married this year so am watching the pennies so i can only afford to do things once otherwise id pee some money up the wall and work it out for myself.

1. I find the car wallows a bit at the rear on high speed maneuvers, can this be fixed by an ARB or is it more down to the spring and damper? or maybe both?

2. I have a decat DP and secondary cat delete being fabricated, does this add much volume over stock or should i order a cat back too?... i like my cars to be a public nusance :P

3. Is anyone running the RAMAIR kit? i appreciate it may not add any performance and possibly negate some but i would like to know if adds much induction roar? after a p car with the engine behind your ears i want to hear that 5 pot scream.

4. Subjective i know but here in hong kong i have been quoted by both Revo and APR for stage 2, APR is 300 gbp more expensive for an equal service, is there any reason i shouldn't just go the cheaper option with Revo?

Sorry for all the questions and happy RSing.

Pete

Pete.

(1) sh*te springs & dampers change to an aftermarket,im using Bilstein B14s & replacing the rear ARB to say a 034 will cure the under-steer.

(2) i'm running a fully decated stock exhaust it gives a deep 5 cylinder bass note & not very anti social to be honest.

(3) Pass on that one.

(4) Revo are in the UK & APR are in the USA but on this forum ARP is popular.

Entirely echo RS3Dell, mine had the Revo stage 1 and with your mods that’s 400 big horses and more torque than is strictly necessary. I came from a 997 C4S - never regretted it!

APR is dearer but doesn't cause as many engine failures or engine fires like Revo ;)

To replicate that Porka handling you'd be best adding the Arb's and a coil over kit but ultimately it'll still have a higher centre of gravity. It'll blow the Porsche out the water in a straight line that's for sure with a map!

Vroom.

RS3Jet has a APR stage 1 map with the 2nd cat deleted & that blows a standard RS3 away ! 😈

Not sure that your Revo comment is fair MacD, you could also say there are plenty of unmodified OEM engine failures about which have been detailed on the forum.

Fair do's MacD!

Always helps to explain these things to dumbos like me and newbies like Vroom.

(I think I've been away too long - need to get back up to speed with all you loons.)
