Managed to renew with Admiral for £369 on the new beast - including my 'modified' alloy wheels. Benefit of being on the wrong side of 40

gonna try flux next time round I thinkI've mainly used Adrian Flux for any performance car I've had with Mods and they've always been good.
£470 with £500 excess
8k miles and all mods declared
I'm 35
I think when I renewed I did get a cheaper quote elsewhere (just used confused.com) then they beat that quote.

I just got quoted 1800 with my current insurance company ( Sheila’s wheels multi car policy ) simply because my wife crashed my old car ( not totally her fault I must add ) I have full no claims protected and I’m the wrong side of 40, car will be garaged and the garage has an alarm linked to the house, we live in a nice area in Berkshire
I think I need to shop around, weird thing is from the corsa to the S3 I paid £83 more for 7 months remaining on the policy.
Wow Chris knotts just quoted me £2500
That’s nuts I’m 31 and only paid £1800 for both the SQ5 and RS3 and I had accident couple years back still on going claim
I was paying £440 with an SP50 through LV for my 8V & my Mrs is paying £384 also with LV for her 8P
Although the RS 7 is now costing me £608 with my SP50 with LV
Lol being 50+ does have some advantages

One company would not insure the car as he said that the hot hatch cars we own are starting to become more powerful more desirable to the wrong type of person and are costing north of 50k new.
