Wandering who people are using for the insurance, Go Compare quoting over £1000, does installing a tracker make a huge difference?

I am 40+ over 10 years NCD,

Try LV - I pay £400 per year. Installing a tracker would have made no difference to my premium.

You can adjust the voluntary excess to bring the premium down and adding a named driver usually reduces it too.

I use LV.

Seem to be the best on the RS3.

In my experience adding tracker tends to make either no difference or about £40 over a 12 month policy.  Bit of a joke really when it could save them paying out!

Try a specialist broker perhaps?

I use LV for both our RS's  B)
Although interestingly, its cheaper to insure them separately than using LV's multi-car policy

You would have thought adding a Tracker would make a difference!

As Mac D rightly points out, it could save them paying out!

I'd assume any reduction in premium would be influenced significantly depending on whether the car is kept in a locked garage over night and your postcode.

Inevitably there are parts of the country that have higher levels of car crime and you'd think insurance companies would reduce premiums for cars fitted with trackers in those.

I use Admiral for my RS 3 over the last 5 years

15 years protected no claims

5000 Miles year & 60 +

Engine increase BHP up to  25%

Was paying £460.00 very happy, went up last year to £620.00 !!!  [ reason given as lots more RS 3  high claims ]

I will be looking at LV on my renewal this year

I’m with admiral and just paid £1800 for both my cars ( SQ5 and FL RS3 ) £400 less than the renewal they quoted it’s amazing how much they can suddenly knock off when you say your going elsewhere.
I would of shopped around but still have an unresolved claim from nearly 4 years ago which just messes things up with new insurance companies so stuck with admiral for the time being

I've mainly used Adrian Flux for any performance car I've had with Mods and they've always been good.
£470 with £500 excess
8k miles and all mods declared
I'm 35

I think when I renewed I did get a cheaper quote elsewhere (just used confused.com) then they beat that quote.

Just went on go compare and mine would be £503 if I had a £750 excess. This included business use and was from Lloyd’s bank. That’s the same price as my Roc R last year with agreed mods, so bad and the first try.
