It seems like my fault free run has come to an end this morning!
Heavy frost over night meant I had to de-ice the car and had it running for several minutes before setting off. At this point I noticed the passenger side wing mirror hadn't cleared but drivers had.
Drove to work parked up and then thought I'd check the mirror adjuster was working, nope! Then went around to the passenger side and found both doors to be locked and subsequently found that they can't be opened from inside!! Great.
I haven't dared try the windows in case of them temporarily working and get stuck down but chances are they won't work either!

I've scanned the car with VCDS and no surprise there's several fault showing on the different modules but the two recurring fault numbers are 01332 & 01333 and relate to the door control modules.

Other than a quick scan, the dark and weather has meant Ive had minimal time to check over the basics like fuses but wondered if some one can point in the right direction bearing in mind it must be something common to affect all of the passenger side?

See pics for screen shots of the fault codes and note mod 52 & 62 couldn't be reached (Ignore radio/nav I get that occasionally for some reason)e54d6a54d90b154040e89b7a524def9c.jpgb6c631635c831d3a20aaf0e7c544c10e.jpg6b198cac3949608be01c5a15ae083ce1.jpg9939c3e9aaaaebfb96c3fb04ebf5f78e.jpg9a15feda45fbe9b75d4674506a2b8379.jpg

I’d check basics first......

Fuses is a good place.

Clear all those errors individually in the modules then see which ones come back.

You’ve got issues in 3 out of 4 door modules by the look of that scan.

Go into basic settings Matt

See if you can test the door functions on both doors.

Ok thanks, I'll have a look over the fuses tomorrow hopefully then try and run some more tests.
I only interpret it to be passenger front and passenger rear doors..
Just seems strange that it's effected both doors. hopefully it may be a fuse but having had a look online and in the manual nothing jumps out that is common to the fault.

Fault codes won't clear.

I went through the fuse analysis to look at what could be just passenger side related and it didn't really leave much to check as many are common to specific equipment either at the front or rear in pairs.
Can't see any blown fuses.

What I could really use is a wiring and module diagram if anyone could help? Need to understand what's linked to what, how it communicates and from where.

Haven't had chance to run any function tests via VCDS but I know when going into the controller 52 and 62 I can't even connect to it.

I can't open the doors to get to them, unless you mean the drivers side door?

Tbh no I haven't. Wouldn't the earth be common and effect more than just that side of equipment? Where and what locations would you suggest to check?

Much appreciated mate, very helpful.
I'll certainly check what I can..

Do you think it'd be worth disconnecting the battery for 10 mins on the off chance? My mate suggested it could be worth a shot and also said be careful if the radio has a code. Don't think It does from what I can see/read?

RNS-E will be fine as you aren’t removing it

Check convenience module
You really need to check the front door control module too.

Ok thanks.

Yeah I'll check the convenience module asap.

I just don't know how I'm going to get to the door module when I can't open the door, nightmare!
I could t really tell from the diagram especially as I'm only on my iPhone but does the driver door interface with the rear door for power etc or are they completely standalone?
