Audi TAKE NOTE FOR F**K SAKE

All that aside at least ford have acknowledged there is a problem and are repairing people’s cars FOC.
Audi TAKE NOTE FOR F**K SAKE
Though to be fair, Audi have rectified some issues: HPFP, rear top mounts, some peoples brakes...
They just need to be more willing for the issues that are more of an annoyance than a performance/safety issue. Rattling exhausts for one on the FL.
But at the same time, if (IF) Ford have fitted the wrong spec of gasket to the RS's then that's quite a costly f*** up, if they will be replacing gaskets and heads FOC!

I had it confirmed today from a Ford tech. They pressurize the cooling system to 16 psi for one hour. If it loses up to 2 psi they change the head gasket. Any more than 2 psi and it`s head as well.

Now although it isn’t going to be up everyone’s street to watch I was quite surprised how much info ford sent the guy. Everything from the amount of hours to do either the gasket or head and gasket works the procedure the whole nine yards basically.
He reckons that possibly 10000 vehicles worldwide could be affected. Some serious financial losses there.

Strange that today whilst waiting around for a work colleague I found a video on YouTube about a owner who’s had a new engine fitted to his one.

I'll swap an occasional squeaking brake setup to a catastrophic engine failure any day.....
Seems like ford are at least admitting it and sorting it, with lots of pain to go through....must be a nightmare to project manage a total cluster f..k up hehehe
And... more to the point, resale values must be taking a hit, and scaring off most buyers who know anything about such a car, would hate to have one and want to get rid!
I always loved the older Ford RS cars, and would have a few in my dream garage, but would steer well clear of this encarnation, even more so in a few years time, with service gaps and dodgy service history skimping by rubbish owners
