Engine off , valve is open, so just blank off or cable tie a pinch in the vacuum pipe to actuator. ( others have used golf tees, or grub screws to block the pipe. ) loads of different methods out there, google flapper mod.

The only thing to ensure is dont leave the pipe open. It causes a vacuum leak.

Yea open when engine is off. So pull the pipe off you mean and force something in there? Sounds simple right? Cheers.

Yes ideally something you can remove if you don’t like it.

Or pinch the pipe to cut off the vac supply as shown on this google image.
This way is easy to remove, and keeps both vac system
Sealed and both ends clean from Dirt and grime.

Ok cool. That looks simple enough. So does the S button do anything else apart from open the exhaust valve?

Sharpens up the throttle response.

On a TTRS it would also firm up the mag ride if fitted. We never got that option.

How does it sharpen throttle response? I know it says on the cluster “sports mode on” but I’ve only ever believed it’s the exhaust only. I always believed S on the gearbox along with the sport mode is for the ultimate combination.

By changing the throttle map, Looks like it sharpens up steering too. Page 68 in manual.

Obviously we don’t have the mag ride option.

Cool. Cable tied up the pipe today and the flap stays open. Does make a nice difference in the sound. Cheapest and best mod yet. Lol.

I seem to have this issue (Standard exhaust)

When I start the engine the flaps appear to open automatically for say 20 secs then close by themselves.

However when I press the "S" button there seems to be no noticeable difference between it being on or off.. I can hear the metal click sound coming from the rear when pressing the "S" too...

Solenoid issue for me?

Might seem daft but switch the vacuum hoses on the solenoid and try that. I had mine piped up the way it shown on the image on the OP and was doing same thing I even bought a new solenoid. Swapped the pipes round and it fixed it
