Have the panoramic roof, and the thing is it rattle a little when it´s open, not all the time but if I drive over a speedbump or a bad road. It sound like something is lose. clonk sound. I try to locate where it come frome but haven´t found it yet. But when the panoramic roof is closed it´s quiet. not a sound. So it´s definitely the panoramic roof.

Have ask Audi technical guy and he said the car is "flexing" the chassi, so it will rattle... I don´t buy it because my PFL didn´t make that sound. What do you guys think? is it a easy fix or replace the whole panoramic roof?

It´s a small issue but I can´t stand with clonking sound. especially when I want to hear the exhaust sound  ;) that´s why I order a panoramic roof.

A friend had trouble with the pano roof on his PFL car
Audi made a right mess trying to fix it, so much so he rejected the car because they damaged the interior so badly trying to fix the Roof.

My mate had that issue in an S4 and got his brother to stand up with the roof open and have a proper listen. He traced it back to a fixing in the mechanism being loose. Even after telling Audi it went back 3 times and a total of nearly 2 weeks off the road. He didn’t mention damage so I’m it wouldn’t hav3 been because he is fussy.

I had a 6 series BMW that had constant problems with the sun roof including leaks. In the end I put a bead of sealer round, closed it and never used it again. I swore I’d never ever get a sunroof again. Hopefully yours can be fiixed because I’ve not heard this is a massive issue. As always don’t let up on your dealer because these cars are not cheap.

That dosen´t sound good @T-800... hope my dealer is more careful if they are gonna fix that.

@StuW13 - I talked to my dealer today, they will have a another look at that issue. I will drive the car with a technician so they can hear exactly that clonky sound.

That’s a great idea because once the tech hears it they will have to do something about it.

When you have it open with the car on song, you'll know why.

And they are really heavy Stu,

your car will be so unstable now and use 30% more fuel and will be at least 20mph slower than a car without one

Also your tyres will need 10 psi more in them because of the weight

Don't forget the sunburn on the top of your head too - slap on the factor 50 before every drive

I can live with that. A Remap will sort out the power to weight ratio

Yep my fl saloon’s roof rattles like crazy when cracked up. Have read elsewhere it’s common. Evidently a design flaw rather than something specific. I can’t imagine a dealer being too willing to fix it. Same goes for the exhaust rattle.
