8V Mag Ride - Upgrade options

Need some recommendations. Have Mag ride and looking into options for aftermarket upgrades. Suggestions?
Are there any kits available that still allow the modes to be changed, as I do like the comfort setting when stealthing to the supermarket...
Any ideas greatly appreciated.
Happy RS-ing.

A lot of us have MSS springs that work fine with mag ride. Tad expensive although worth it imho as they transform the car.

Thanks TX. MSS do appear popular. Any thoughts on Bilstein B16 ride control jobbies?

How about using Elbachs as a cheaper option ?Thanks TX. MSS do appear popular. Any thoughts on Bilstein B16 ride control jobbies?

The B16 are really good but pricey + you may need to code out the magride or fit eliminators.
As TX said fit a upgrade ARB works wonders !

I take it MSS and H&R are both spring manufacturers.

Rear only is best as if you get the front too you also stiffen up the front end which kind of defeats what you need to do to help the front stick better.Just to check it’s just the rear ARB I want isnt it as awesome sell the front and rear as a set

If you give AKS Tuning a call they will give you a good price on the rear H&R ARB. They can also fit it for you too I think.
As TX stated in his post, you do not need to fit the front one as it just negates the benefit of the uprated rear. There is a good thread on this subject somewhere on this forum which will also help.

Hi All,
Managed to find the German TUV Test Certificate from Tests conducted by H&R to obtain Type Approval for the RS3 and TTRS in December 2016.
Upgrading the rear only with standard front ARB will introduce more 'oversteer' characteristics. If the front is stiffened with the rear, these characteristics will be lessened, but body control is still improved (roll). Upgrading front and keeping standard rear will induce 'understeer' characteristics.
The TUV Cert does mention that there are no restrictions to upgrading only one anti-roll bar or indeed their use with other wheel, tyre or spring combinations.
Nice to see the premium aftermarket suppliers doing this properly.
About to order my bar now.
