Saw the press about the rollouts for the Tesla HGV (no US, they are not Semi's) and Roadster, they both look epic. I'm guessing other manufacturers are going to have to start playing catchup very quickly over the next 5-10 years.

Out the box, the roadster can go from 0-60 in 1.9 seconds.... that's properly mental, as is the price tag.

All well and good if they can eventually actually build to their plans!

That roadster is a very nice looking thing, though...

Seen video of some demo rides. The car is so quick off the line it looks like a special effect!

0-60 in 1.9 is a crazy number, but 0-100 in 4.9, and a standing 1/4 in less than 9 secs is really making a statement.

Sadly this is going to be the future...

Keep our petrol powered cars going, they will become classics!

Classics? Yes maybe but stuck in a garage or a museum & not allowed to run - the writing is on the wall when burning of fossil fuels will be a thing of the past

I'd rather walk than drive electric. Same goes for autonomous cars.

I'd have one !

How can you argue with 0-60 in 1.9 seconds,,,, how on earth could you ever get bored of that ??

And I.m sure deep down if all on here drove one they would say the same .

I have a classic car in the garage and it makes a great noise dont get me wrong ,but 0-60 in under two seconds I would never tire of that !

Red traffic lights would be the new playground

There is no way electric is the future for cars anyway imho. Hydrogen once they sort it out.

They've got a way to go yet then, remember how the majority of electricity is produced...

Once again it will be easier to punish petrol heads than actually sort it.

As TX says, hydrogen fuel cells will be the future once the oil companies have control of the distribution... Cynic? Me??
