So after trawling every local, motor factors, garages and even DIY stores no bolts
In desperation I headed to my local Audi dealer to find as suspected they don't list the bolt as a spare part. They offered to sell me a new caliper at £600 but i declined
Clutching at straws I asked if they could supply the R8 bolt Sean identified earlier, WHT001330A, by tomorrow if i ordered them now, 'No sir' came the reply, we have those on the shelf
'Ill take two' says I and £16 lighter here they are:

Comparing them to the original they look perfectly OK, slightly longer and the head is a bit smaller but good to use:

However trying to fit them proved otherwise. It appears the original bolts being threaded along the whole shank was not a mistake. The Brembo callipers on the 8P have a small threaded section at the top of the hole. they are designed for full threaded bolts that have to be wound all the way through until you reach the non threaded part of the shank under the head and then they spin free. Its a way of making them a captive bolt but not impede thread misalignment between the caliper and the carrier. Now I could have found a local engineering firm to thread the rest of the bolt but as I couldn't see it had any structural benefit I just drilled the small threaded section out of the caliper.
So they're back on, Hoorah

Now just one more thing. DOES ANYONE KNOW THE TORQUE SETTING !!!!!
I can't find any info on these F-ing callipers anywhere. Ive found a thread for an S8 that states 80 ft/lb so I've done them up to that at the mo. Any more guesses gratefully received.
