on my drive way!

Sad news folks, Red has gone on to a new and hopefully caring owner, so I probably won't be on this forum much - unless I'm tempted by one of the newer varieties. I'll occasionally keep my hand in just to stay current though.

For the next while I'm in the relatively slow lane with a new Golf GTE Advance. Nice, pleasant enough to drive, economical and lots of toys. A little more comfort in my twilight years haha.

Oh, and I'm posting separately on a certain insurer...

Yup, set myself up for all those comments but you missed so many golden opportunities like "what's it like driving a milk float?" and when I turn up somewhere it's "finished your milk round early today??". All good fun but I'm the one who's laughing.

I've not dropped below 200 PS though, and the poke from the e motor isn't too shabby either, if only it had 4wd it would be perfect.

And as for retirement, nowhere near yet - and the special order pee-proof rubber seat covers are just lovely and squeaky :P .

Now, if I can just get the aircon to deal with those inadvertent farts I'll be fine.

I guess I'm going to have to hang around to keep you lot on your toes.

Aye but I fear the lure of a 2.5 (albeit with one extra cylinder ) is proving a problem - having had a few boxsters I'm looking at one of the early models - a sure classic and cheap right now. We shall see.
