I have an error message on the dash that shows right side drl malfuntion.

Checked the lights indeed the LED DRL was not lighting up. 

Does this mean that I need to change out the whole headlight assembly?

I’d check the connection to that cluster if I were you first, just to rule out a dodgy connection.

The LED part is part of the cluster so it looks like you’ll need a new full headlight unit.

Normally you could swap the controller over that’s attached to the cluster but that only controls the Xenon part of the cluster and if that’s working then it’s just the low voltage LED that’s gone.

Thank you for your answer, you're always helpful to my questions.

I'll bring it to the workshop tomorrow and will update the process again here.

Got the car into the workshop, removed the front bumper to have full access of the front headlights removal.

Swapped the controller with no luck. Guess I'll need a new full headlight unit for my right side.
