I am giving up. Looks like these cars are only reliable for a short time.

I spoke to well experienced mechanic. Piston 1 and 3 can be an issue if the wrong oil is used. Also as a precaution for us all we need to use a stronger coolant like water wetter and motul inulgel. If the engine is cool these piston rings wont give in and also after a hard drive, cruise for a bit then park the car off.

Our car have a run on pump & cooling fan for after you switch off the engine if its too hot but letting the turbo spool down is always a good practice.

 

As for using oil additives i don't think they make up for using a good quality recommended grade of engine oil.

Ceratec is good. Ceramic technology. Ive notice a significant drop in oil temps. Around 10degrees celcius.

95-101 degrees celcius. I havent seen higher than that.

Ditto but that temp isn't a problem to be fair mate & my car is remapped !  :)

As our cars use an water 2 oil intercooler the hotter one will heat the other so your never get the oil below water temp once the engine is fully warmed up !

My cars oil sits between 99-106°C is this a normal running temp range?

Hi Guys so my car is fixed, new block,pistons, bearings,conrods so basically new bottom end.

Also new cam chain fitted. Now quick question what is the run in procedure now.
