I've just recently put a revo stage one and a full milltek system with sports cat. it used to launch fine before the remap but now with the remap it's having problems.I think it's almost too much power for the gearbox has any one dsg remap or is it something else.

Try speaking to the people who installed the map if no joy contact revo & see what they say about your problem

Probably sensing high torque values and reigning in the power. This can happen if the map is too aggresive in its torque delivery or if the clutch packs are not in good order (some bad treatment from a previous owner prehaps?). This is always the risk with the plug & play then drive away approach to tuning.

Assuming the problem is gearbox related, a DSG map may sort it out by changing the over torque values and adding a bit of extra clamping pressure for the clutch packs.

It may be a good idea to remove the REVO map first to see if it works ok in standard tune.

Hope you get it sorted.

After swapping dp to Milltek dp they say: Replaces the primary catalyst. Can be fitted to a standard exhaust or with the Milltek Sport cat-back system. Requires a stage 2 ECU remap - so the problem is stage 1 map

What do you mean by "it's having problems"?

Go back to the dealer who mapped it.  A gearbox reset may rectify the issue.

IMO you don't need to touch the stock DSG map at these kinds of tuning levels, and certainly not at REVO Stage 1 level.

do you turn the traction aids off completely as in long press? Mine wont launch properly if i just do a short press! Traction aid cuts power causing it to pull back,my S5 is the same

Mine doesn't need all traction turned off.  Works 100% in Sports mode.

Turning all the TC off for launching can be pretty stressful on your transmission imo.

MRC always recommend a DSG map be done at the same time. They can adjust the rev limit for launch control and increase the plate pressure to make there’s no slipping. I’m sure it increased wear/stress in the long run, but most people are launching that often.
