I realise at the moment it may just be those outside the UK.
I'm genuinely tempted but really want to see one in the flesh and have a drive.

I thought there would be zero possibility of these till 2018 unless I am wrong?

It's appeared as coming soon on the configurator, but it could sit there like that for months, like the TTRS which is still not available to configure.
Officially Audi say late 2017 for the RS3 and that hasn't changed at all.
Dealers might be taking deposits but it means bugger all as they can't configure or order any cars and it doesn't guarantee anything other than the dealer earning interest on your money in their account.

Hi all, new member, long time Audi driver.
I put a £1k "deposit" down with a dealer back in October in the hope of bagging a build slot. I was passing through last week for a service on another car and the salesman popped over to say no updates yet.
I'm hoping RS3 availability for the UK is better than the TT RS, i.e. factory orders possible!

Available to order? No. Announced? Yes... From experience with the original R8 launch I'm keen not to see 30 names ahead of me at the dealer for build slots. Coupled with the TT RS supply issues I'd rather have some skin in the game.

Its all well and good being first in the queue on the dealers order books but it is the factory that decides the production order dependant of spec, the dealer has no control over that.

Imho USA owners likely to see them first (or Jono in Oz) then EU owners but no UK cars arriving this side of 2017.

Agree as originally the saloon was only heading to the US.Imho USA owners likely to see them first (or Jono in Oz) then EU owners but no UK cars arriving this side of 2017.

TBH I can't see it selling much over here... we prefer hatchbacks or estates.. imo.
Then again... they obviously think different to release it in the U.K.

Australia dealers have started taking orders. The build week for the first batch is wk10 to wk14. they are 3 standard builds for the first 4 weeks than custom builds after that.
