Just wondering really. As there has only ever been one version, with the introduction of the saloon, do you think there will just be a saloon ? There hasnt really been any mention of a facelift RS3 sportback
Only one version....????
Have you forgot about the MK1 then ???

50/50, reading between the lines Audi want a product they can now sell worldwide, so it includes China and the US, both of which are probably the place they will sell the most cars and according to research they think the Sedan will sell.
I think another Sportback might appear right at the end of the 8V lifecycle and get the RS3 Performance tag.
Even if it does, the Sports Exhaust will get toned down, like on the TTRS and RS3 Saloon.

China? Don't think so. Big thing in China is rear legroom, which is why all the A8 'L' designations come from. Cannot see any type of A3 variant having enough...!
I probably meant Asia... some small performance models do get sold in China, so does the A3 Saloon, along with the A3 Etron

there has never been multiple bodystyled rs3s. now with them wanting to break into the USA , i suspect maybe there might only be a saloon version.
Well if this true when I come to sell mine in a few years time, it looks like I might have to look at other models (I need a hatch).

Won't arrive imho as there is literally no info on it anywhere + no test track shots etc. May get re-introduced if the saloon doesn't go down a storm although that will be many years from now!

Correct me if I'm wrong but Americans do not buy fast or sporty small 4 or 5 door cars. They tend to buy big slow cars that do not corner very well as quoted by a certain motoring to show!
The only fast foreign import that they go for are cars like Porsches, Ferari's, Lamborghini's, or Toyota's - all two door cars.

The dealership in which this picture was taken apparently confirmed that the yellow RS3 was indeed a faclifted RS3 Sportback.
It has been in the dealership for show purposes and is now back in Ingolstadt.
Edit: No it isn't. Someone checked the license plate and found out that it is registred as a S3 facelift. So someone photoshopped it.
