And THANK YOU Sonnybo55 for letting me out into the traffic stream - loaded with a set of wheels and tyres as I was from JP Alloys; the amount of headlamp flash you afforded me left me knowing it was an RS3 aficionardo as not many recognise a sans badged RS3 when they see one - albeit you only saw it side on but from some distance; impressive RS3 eye sight you have; will meet someday I'm sure and I'll be thanking you again...

Cracking car see there's a cornflower blue 8v for sale 45..... Not even a little tempted?
Nope... Been to look at the 8V more than once and never tempted and I think I've said that before. The only issue I've had with this car is/was low speed brake squeal and I sorted that on its 'original' brakes and then had to do the same again with the 47i6 upgrade (and I still maintain Audi got that wrong) but hey, BLUEY's doing exactly what I bought it for and for a long time yet I expect the same; so thanks for the 'tip' of an 8V RS3 Spaceman but no thank you...

And that's where I'm at, Sonny : 68-years of age in October 2011 when I drove my first RS3 and was left shaking at it's abilities and 3-days after that first drive we'd found and purchased ours. And while I've enjoyed other RS cars for different reasons especially when fitted with a twin turbo V8 I find I'm never disappointed when I come back to our 8P RS3 - and it's at its best when the weather is mega poor...
Just been reading your own Racing Mica RS3 thread/posts and your car is also most impressive, nice...

OK, so we viewed this Cornflower blue beastie at Tamworth Audi and we were sufficiently interested to view all photos and even contemplated a visit, as it's a nice day; but then we saw the diamond-pattern white-stitching on the seat backs; oh dear, each to their own I guess

Shame that do you prefer the standard seats or the red stitch?
There plenty would swap with cash your way. I'm sure you be plenty happy with your bluesy and quite rightly
We find our 8P RS3, with extended leather, a nice place to sit Spaceman; other than an S8 we've found nothing else we'd 'overall' prefer.
Our TT has similarly tasteful leather stitch as does our recently acquired A1 Black Edition (185bhp and 7-speed DSG): for sure we don't want to be sitting in diamond stitch whatever the colour; but that's our opinion and others will and do prefer whatever else. But at a basic level the idea of spending say 20K to go from one RS3 to another or alternatively purchase something else for 'fun' just doesn't seem a sensible thing to do, somehow...
However, should Audi come up with a 3-door RS3 then that (our current health situations depending) may be a different story but as a born in 1945 Audi driver with 'cheap' £s insurance I'll be staying' with our current Audi RS3, Audi TT ragtop, and Audi A1 Black Edition for the time being; and I'm 100% sure you'd agree
But for now BLUEY owes us £0, and she's been 100% reliable, other than the low-speed brake squeal that I've had to sort TWICE! And the subtle anonimity of the 8P over the 8V is something I/we much prefer.
For sure I drive the A1 a lot harder than the RS3 and that I like...
What's not to like...
