Any tips would be appreciated have read about the squeaky breaks anything else to look out for?
Going to look at this later this week.

Others available with lower mileage and slightly better specs available elsewhere but don't really want to buy anywhere else other than Audi or a immaculate looked after example from a forum member!
Any help/opinions appreciated

Hi Browny1992.......
Good choice of car
Things to look out for are........
Noisy timing chain at around 2k RPM or on start up, not always down to the chains can be the camshaft adjuster too
S-tronic gearbox, see how it performs in all modes it should be relatively smooth in 'D' and in 'S' it'll hold onto the gears for longer.........flick it over to manual mode make sure the paddles work ok, it'll change down automatically when slowing to a stop.
Haldex clutch pump can go, noticeable by loss of 4 wheel drive/wheel spin/traction control working loads
Rattling from rear exhaust back box, this is usually the flaps in the back box, not serviceable either, new back box will be required
Yes Brakes can be the bug bear of the car, squeaking, vibration through the steering wheel etc...people change pads etc to try to cure it....my opinion.....just test drive the car see what shows up first.
Propshaft can go, even on a standard car, maybe if the one you are looking at has been launched many times it could be at risk of going, who knows it's a lottery, you could be lucky and buy one with the modified/strengthened propshaft......
Alloys......seem to suffer from buckling quite easily, again see how the car performs on a test drive, get it on the motorway if you can, see how it feels, steering wheel shake or any other vibrations etc......
Sign of a well looked after car, 4 matching tyres all in good condition, no side wall damage etc..... Continentals from the Factory.......many owners swap these over for Michelin pilot Super sports or Goodyear Eagle F1's
Check its service history, regular oil changes are a must and look for any evidence of 'extra' oil changes in between the Audi scheduled ones
Also make sure any S-tronic fluid / Haldex fluid / Brake fluid changes have been done and documented......
Be aware also that these cars are sometimes Mapped then put back to standard when moved on, i don't know how you counter this, but however if you are buying from an Audi dealer at least this may provide you with piece of mind in this area, as they will have checked the car over..........and worse case if something did happen you can go back to them.......
If you buy one from an independent dealer thats got say a 5 year Audi warranty and you've got 2 years left, be aware that if the previous owner has 'meddled' with it and you have an issue with whatever they've 'meddled' with..........Audi won't be interested if they find signs of 'meddling'..............and believe you me there are independent's out there advertising RS3's with warranties that could be effectively useless...........

M-Tec rear cross-drilled brake discs
All OEM equipment bar the 6 pot calipers will be available to the buyer or the car can be put back to stock prior to purchase. I'll get around to putting an advert up in the Classifieds shortly, being 43 months old it has no warranty but then it has had no significant issues to date with it either. All factory updates / recalls applied.
It's a daily driver which tend to run better, always run on V-Power or Tesco Momentum and fuel system maintained with Winns DIP3 fuel system cleaner every 2-4k miles.
Hopefully most on here who have seen it will vouch for its condition, it has had G-Techniq coatings on it since end of 2012, currently with CS Back pack on it.
Not sure on price at present, will look at that when I put the advert up.

I can vouch for Grahame's car ,I've seeing it a few times and its always been well maintained and cared for and looks great in Suzuka Grey.

Suzuka grey is my favourite colour like oOoOo
Look forward to the add when you get it up.
Looking at current examples these cars seem to hold their money well, do you think this will continue in the next 2-4 years?

Didn't make many in the first place and numbers drop off every year (crashed etc) so should hold money well. Will be interesting to see what happens though as the mk2 approaches the same price as mk1 ...
