I managed to scuff on of my alloys this weekend. I was wondering if anyone knew a place that could do refurbishments on the RS3 alloys in the north west... And also how much it's likely to cost.
Alloy refurbishment?

They have state of the art CNC machines for cutting back the Rotor face.
You could package up the wheel as I think they do a courier collection service.
Price was £120 a wheel.
Top class Job too.

Damn, like I expected they're not cheap.
Serves me right for not noticing the giant curb haha.

I've got an extra set for winters so if I scuff the back ones I can swap them with a winter alloy.

It may be worth purchasing a spare Rotor off Ebay..... That way you can have the damaged one refurbished at your leisure, because that's the other downside, they need the wheel for a few days.

I'd love a spare set for winter, but I don't think a full set of rotors is in my budget at the moment. (I'd imagine that would be several thousand for a set.)

I00% with T800 in recommending JP Alloys, used 'em and recommended 'em lots...
And you can ship to JP Alloys with tyres and they'll come back with tyre fitted and balanced fully sorted: see http://www.jpalloys.co.uk/ and see the video showing how they do it...
Just DON'T kerb 'em again... tsk...

I didn't mean to do it the first time.
I know Seb and believe me I've been lucky to get away without kerbing 'em for as long as I have so don't wish nothing but regrets for you...
However, be sure that JP Alloys have the tools and experience to sort 'em...

John, is it JP that also powder coated your exhaust tips?
Yes Graham, talk to Pete Horton...
I purchased a pair on eBay and had 'em powder coated and I see marshy is currently advertising a pair in 'marketplace' here that you'd be able to do just the same; my original chrome ones are sitting safely on one of me 'speakers' behind me now; safe for future use if needed...

I have 3 spare sets, just curious to see how your powder coated set are holding up because they coke up easily and the carbon is hard to remove without taking the black chrome finish off as well.

Powder-coated exhaust tips are as the rest of BLUEY, Graham; 100% perfect for me/us and no worries...
As for carbon build-up I treat these powder-coated exactly the same as I did the chrome-plated ones and exactly as the proverbial rolling-stone by keeping 'em clean with a regular wash...

Likewise John and mine are coated with GTechnicq C1 however over winter months even salt etc. gets to them because of the temperature of the tips and its effect on the ceramic coating bonding capability, especially on the rolled edges.

I kerbed the nearside front wheel yesterday. It was either that or hit the **** in the VW T5 who came round the corner on my side of the road.
Were the 8P RS3 wheels diamond-cut? I'm asking because a couple of local wheel repair places have said that they can't repair diamond-cut alloys.
These ones:

Thanks, mate. I've seen their name elsewhere on the forum.
Ideally, I was hoping for a mobile fitter or at least somewhere local. I can't have the car out of action while the wheel is sent away.
